Since 5 January 2021, companies producing in the EU or importing products to be placed on the EU market have had to submit data to the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) on chemicals of concern in their products. Over five million notifications have already been received in the public SCIP database, and the data will be published in the coming months. Also companies trading with waste, which may become secondary raw materials, are required to report. ” This is a great step towards transparency, public right to know and safe circular economy
